Story
On the 13th March 2016 I will run Silverstone Marathon 21k in warm up for the 2016 London Marathon 26.2 miles / 42 kilom on 24th April, with the aim to create awareness of a life threatening allergic reaction called Anaphylaxis.
Having seen family members and others become lifeless when in Anaphylactic shock, I believe it is vital that everyone is educated as to what to do if they find themselves or someone in need of urgent medical attention.
With your donation, you will be helping the Anaphylaxis Campaign to bring much needed awareness to the public in order to inform and educate individuals, communities, schools and universities.
Please donate as little or as much as you wish.
Every donation is very much appreciated!
Thank you!

Most common foods and allergens: nuts, kiwi, fish, shell fish, eggs, tomato, apple, onion, insect stings, latex, medications.
At present, strict avoidance of problem foods is the only way to prevent Anaphylaxis, although researchers are working on preventive therapies.
Anaphylaxis often begins within minutes after a person eats a problem food or becomes in contact with an allergen such as a bee sting. A person has symptoms that involve the skin, nose, mouth or gastrointestinal tract swelling and difficulty breathing leading to closing of the throat, reduced blood pressure (e.g., pale, weak pulse, confusion, loss of consciousness).
