Lollipop Month 2021 · 1 April 2021 to 30 April 2021 ·

This year we cannot be out together with our OCF Lollipops and shaking buckets on the street to raise essential funds for cancer research. Please help and get involved in any way you can fundraising for Oesophageal Cancer Research

Story

The Oesophageal Cancer Fund is a charity that has done great things for those affected by such an awful disease.

In 2008, I lost my Nanny, and best friend, Mary, and late last year, my Dad also lost a great friend, Mick, to oesophageal cancer. He was the lead vocalist and songwriter in their blues band, with a great stage presence. Both were taken far too soon, and I will be running in memory of how brilliant, kind, and full of life they were.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, OCF's annual Lollipop Day fundraiser cannot take place due to safety restrictions. However, fundraising can still take place virtually. Over the course of the month of April I will be running 100km, and aiming to raise money for OCF. Any bit of virtual loose change would be deeply appreciated, a little lolly goes a long way!
