Story
Myself and other Cancer Focus Staff Emma, Gareth, Maresa and Aoife, have decided to step up to the Belfast Marathon Team Relay Challenge 2014. The newly formed team hail from all over the country and work in various departments within the Charity. Each year people from all walks of life compete and take part in this event for Cancer Focus NI. The Cancer Focus Fliers thought it was about time to join in the fun and show support and thanks to everyone who takes the time to fundraise for Cancer Focus Northern Ireland.
The Team will also be gathering sponsorship for their challenge and would be so grateful if you could donate what you can. Every year the charity has supported more than 3,000 people living with cancer, funded major research, reached nearly 30,000 children with its schools health education programme and invested more than £3.5m annually.
I am also taking part in the Marathon this year in memory of my mum Marie Dougan who died from pancreatic cancer last year. She was an incredible mum and an inspiration to all 9 of her children and popular with so many. She was taken away from us too soon by this horrible disease which has effected so many peoples lives.
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
