Story
For the month of August, I will be doing a Challenge of 31 10km runs, one for every day of the month for Sane Charity with the support of Morgan Stanley.
The reason for me doing this challenge for Sane charity is due to the growing realisation of how many people are affected by mental health and don’t see any way out and take matters into their own hands. Even in the modern world it is still seen as a taboo subject. We are all taught to be tough and dig deep, which are great lessons in isolation but not everyone has the ability to do this and many people are not lucky enough to have a great support system around them or even realise they have one to talk to and see no way of getting better. Everyone is different, you never know what is going on in someone else’s mind.
During my challenge, I will be trying to raise both money and awareness by posting about my challenge, my running route and information on mental health. Doing this over the course of a month will hopefully promote awareness and from this if even only one person benefits then it will be more than worth it.
