Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 14th November I noticed a lump in Anyas tummy in the evening. On the 15th I rang her doctors. On the 16th we were referred to Bolton hospital for tests and scans and on the 17th, ironically children in need day, we were told the horrendous news that our beautiful, healthy and fun loving daughter has cancer. We were admitted to the fantastic Manchester children's hospital the very same day and had a week of tests, scans and biopsies.
Anya started her chemo on Monday 27th and we were told she would lose all her amazing hair by week 3. This is a small price to pay for her to be 'fixed' but also a heart breaking prospect. The little princess trust / little hero's trust have fully funded a real hair wig for her to ease the trauma of the hair loss.
Anya has been so brave and has made us all so proud throughout this ordeal so far and Anya being Anya has now kindly decided that in return she will donate her own beautifull hair so other children in her situation can have the same privilege.
Its going to be a long journey and losing her hair is just one hurdle but at the end of it all......
ANYA WILL RING THAT BELL AND SHE WILL RING IT LOUD. Xxxxxx.
Hi, thank you to you all for donating and all your kind words and support. I thought it was only right to update you all on Anya's journey. On December 27th 2017 Anya underwent major surgery to have her left kidney removed. Then on January 8th we were informed that although the surgery was successful due to the unfavourable nature of the cancer she would need a further 28weeks of intensive chemo.... she smashed it.... and on the 9th July 2018 Anya RANG THAT BELL LOUD AND PROUD as promised.... Thank you everyone again, it's been a tough 9 month but she did it, she kicked it's butt. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
