Story
Hey up - I'm going to sleep on the street for 1 night only to try and raise a bit of cash for Brighton's homeless yoot.
If you know me well you'll know how much I hate the cold but I'll be allowed a tent, sleeping bag and thermals - and it's a 1 night deal only - which is nothing compared to being on the streets all over the Christmas period.
Dig deep lovely humans - I only need to raise £300.00 before the 16th December.
Seasonal love, Anya xxx
By supporting the work of The Clock Tower Sanctuary, you will be helping to change the lives of people just like Josh, 23 who first arrived at our day-centre with only a rucksack on his back, having slept rough on Brighton beach for the previous few nights. Josh's upbringing was chaotic and over time his home environment deteriorated to the point he could no longer stay. Josh visited our day centre daily, working with a volunteer case worker. He was provided with a mobile phone, so he was contactable, we helped him with benefit issues, supported him at housing meetings and with building his CV. With this guidance, Josh was able to find a job at a local community kitchen and with this steady employment, could secure a room at a new housing trust. "I feel like I've found a career I can now train in, rather than moving between cash in hand jobs. The Clock Tower Sanctuary believed in me and that feeling is priceless." Josh, 23 years old
