Story

Each year, members of the SJP community take on an epic 2 day walk to raise money for St. James's Place Charitable Foundation. This year, Antony, Matt, Lynette, and her daughter Chezzie will be representing Gainsborough Wealth Management and heading to the Scottish borders to walk 35 miles in 2 days.

The main focus of the Charitable Foundation is on helping children and young people who have special needs or are disadvantaged, both in the UK and overseas. The Foundation also supports the hospice movement, charities in aid of cancer and, more recently, those helping people of all ages with mental health issues.

This year we will be walking in memory of our friend Anne Hockridge who passed away in Feb 2022 after a short battle with cancer.

As many of our clients know, Keith Hockridge managed a successful St James's Place Practice for many years, ably supported by Anne, and her loss has been keenly felt by the whole SJP community. Victoria Hockridge (now Mason) remains a vital member of the Gainsborough team and we would like to support her and the extended Hockridge family by completing this walk in Anne's memory.
