I've always wanted to swim the channel and what better way to do it as part of a relay team raising funds for a great charity. Alexa Trust supports families with babies in neonatal care which I'm sure you will agree is a worthy cause.

Known as the busiest shipping lane in the world the English channel is no mean feat. The water temperature will be around 13-14 degrees and I'm pretty sure acclimatising to this will be my biggest hurdle. We will be swimming at 1 hour legs until we reach our destination – France. It will take the team anywhere between 12 and 18 hours.
