Story

Room 12 in the Princess Royal Maternity isn’t ever a room you want to find yourself in, a room where all your worst nightmares come true. But where there is darkness there is light, it is a room where angels are born in soft tranquil comfort of family rooms provided by SiMBA to make the most heartbreaking of times a little more gentle for those living that extraordinary pain.

You never know the power of the little things such as a memory box until it’s all you have including the only little teddy your baby has ever cuddled, SiMBA think of the things you don’t ever think you will need until you need them and hopefully you never will.

SiMBA responds to the needs of those affected by the loss of a baby. They help families create precious memories with their baby and offer beautiful ways to honour and remember them, now and always. SiMBA are are urgent need of financial assistance or they are at risk of closure.

Anton, Barry, Lynn, Dylan , Mick And Cha are undertaking the 3 peak challenge, this is not for the faint hearted and involves walking the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales within a 24 hour time period. The challenge starts in Scotland at Ben Nevis, which at 1,344 metres, or 4,409 ft is the tallest of the 3, from there the expedition will drive south into the Lake District where they climb Scafell Pike (978 m, 3,209 ft) and then the final of the 3 is the Welsh mountain Snowdon, standing at no less than 1,085 m, 3,560 ft.

Anton’s family have been personally touched by SiMBA and the challenge will be undertaken in loving memory of his nephew Remy Anton Dakhil and in dedication to all families affected by baby loss.
