Trifectalon

Hi everyone!!
As some people already know this year I have decided to partake in 3 triathlons a mini- sprint, sprint and olympic sized races and am calling this event a TRIFECTA-lon!!
What some of you may not know is that a few years ago I lost my uncle, Gavin, to Cystic Fibrosis (CF), a genetic disease affecting the lungs making it difficult to breathe.
More than 2.5 million people carry the faulty gene which causes CF, this means that each week 5 CF affected babies are born and there is still no cure. The faulty gene causes CF sufferers to make a thick mucus within their lungs which makes breathing difficult. My uncle once described his breathing as like breathing through crushed drinks cans.
The only current life- extending treatment is medication, physiotherapy and more extremely a lung transplant.
Whilst research into fixing the faulty gene is very promising, two people will die every week of CF until this cure is found. Unfortunately in 2007 Gavin joined this statistic whilst waiting for his transplant.
Gavin was and still continues to be the most inspirational person in my life.
So this one is for him and I would really appreciate any support via donations or even a cheer on race day. In return not only will I be eternally grateful but I shall publicly embarrass myself by uploading videos of me falling off my bike, drowning and crawling whilst I train for this!
