Story

Some of you may not know that Bert had a diagnosis of mixed Alzheimer's and vascular dementia in his final months which explained his memory issues and personality changes which presented mum with huge challenges in caring for him.

We also grew up watching our Uncle Terry care so lovingly for aunty Mavis who eventually died from the condition.

We hope that our fundraising will help find ways to improve treatment and support for families impacted by this terrible and incurable condition.

The past year has been tough for everyone but coronavirus has hit people affected by dementia the hardest and continues to disrupt lives. So that's why I'm taking on Step Up for Dementia. Please donate to support me and ensure Alzheimer's Society can be there for the people who need them most.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
