Why should you donate some of your hard earned dosh for me to run a stupidly long way through muddy fields around Warrington? 

Well Wood Street Mission charity help some really disadvantaged children living in poverty in Salford and Manchester, they have been going for over 100 years and helping children for all that time. This year they have a large Christmas project planned aiming to give families a break from the monotony of day-to-day survival. Not being able to make ends meet at any time of year is a nightmare but at Christmas it is especially difficult - so Wood Street Mission are looking to provide over 20 tonnes of food and 10,000 toys to 2000 families and 4,500 Children from their community shop in the city centre, plus a number of Christmas fairs so parents can choose presents and other treats for their children – just like other parents. They are also holding some Christmas events, including a large children’s party, to give families something to look forward to over the festive season- and we can all help!  

I choose Wood Street because its about giving these kids some confidence, self respect and happy memories - which will give them a better start in life.

That is where your money will be going and it will make a difference.
