Story
Hopefully the race goes ahead this year 🙏, would hate to delay this again.
Hello to whoever is reading. Chances are you'll already know who I am so my story shouldn't need too much explaining. Hopefully if im successful though this should reach people who don't know me. In which case you'll need to read this next bit!
My name is Anthony, and I was born with Hanhart's Syndrome, leaving me with no fingers on my right hand and no toes on my right foot. In order to get around in day to day life I have to wear a prosthetic limb over my right leg. The other key thing you need to know in my story? I'm incredibly stubborn and love a challenge. Over the years I've gotten involved in fitness challenges, fell running and even a cheeky strongman event or two. Now I want to turn my eye for a challenge to the world's largest half marathon, to raise funds for a wonderful cause.
That cause being Scope, the disability charity offering a range of support services to the disabled community, whilst also campaigning for Everyday Equality at home, school, work and in the community for disabled people. Over the years I've considered myself lucky to live in and get involved with communities where I've felt supported and empowered to unlock my fullest potential. Now I want to use whatever I have to help Scope ensure every disabled person in this country has what they need to survive and even thrive!
If you can please donate whatever you can to this cause of mine. I appreciate its been a tough time for everyone however so please share this link around. I'm really keen to raise as much money as I can to support this fantastic charity and their tireless work.
Thank you all!
