Many of you knew Wendy and how brave and courageous she was battling against pancreatic cancer. She fought to the very end and amazed those around her with her determination and will to overcome all the problems the disease and treatment threw at her. I was very proud to be her brother and she was taken from us much too early in life. I knew nothing of the illness until Wendy was diagnosed and am determined to raise awareness through friends the late Kate Hardcastle and Janet Kelly who have worked tirelessly to raise funds for Pancreatic Cancer UK. The group set out to try and make £20,238 and unfortunately Kate passed away before this target was achieved. I hope that we all can dig deep in particular for Wendy's memory and help these wonderful people achieve their dream.
