Story
A few months ago, we discovered that our three-year-old Grandson who lives in Dublin had developed a malignant tumour in his neck. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy with a view to reducing the tumour to allow for an operation to remove it.
I am running the Great South Run again this year in Portsmouth and decided to run for an appropriate charity. After speaking to my son and his wife about which charity they would like me to support, they have suggested a small cancer charity based in Ireland which specialises in providing children and their families with support. That charity is Aoibheann’s Pink Tie.
Their mission statement is: - “Aoibheann’s Pink Tie mission is to provide practical and financial support available to children suffering from cancer in Ireland and their families.”
Their website, which provides more information on what they do and what their aim is: - https://aoibheannspinktie.ie/
I would therefore like to ask you to give a donation, no matter how small, to this cause which is obviously close to our hearts at this difficult time.
