Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.

I lost my Grandad October 2011 having battled with Parkinson’s for 20 years and would like to give something back to the charity in memory of our loss and to help the charity towards research, equipment and continued support for others who have also been diagnosed with this terrible condition.

Like the famous actor, Robin Williams, Parkinsons did not come by itself and my Grandad also suffered with Lewes Bodies Dementia.

To watch my Grandad lose his memory, his ability to walk and his dignity I would like to raise awareness of Parkinson's and help to find a cure for this disease and provide support to the carers who have to sit and watch helplessly whilst those close to their hearts 'fade away'.

Donating through Just Giving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Just Giving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
