Story
From 1st July 2019 to 15th July 2019 I will be walking 150 miles to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and All Saints Hollybush. I will start from All Saints, Hollybush, where my maternal grandparents are buried, walk the length of the Malvern Hills, then via Bromyard over to Leominster and to All Saints, Monkland, where my paternal grandparents are buried. I will then head for Kington, then to Hay-on-Wye, up and over Hay Bluff to the Church of St Mary the Virgin, Capel-y-ffin, where my great uncle Clarence is buried. I will then head for home via Monmouth, Ross-on-Wye and Dymock, and thence, via Bromsberrow, return to All Saints, Hollybush.
Part pilgrimage, part physical challenge, part songlines and a visit to the ancestors, I'm looking forward to it and dreading it in equal measure! I will be ably supported by my husband Mike who will be my roadie for the trip. Why am I doing this? Because too many brilliant family members and friends have been effected by cancer, and Macmillan do a brilliant job of supporting not only cancer patients, but their friends and families as well.
