Story
Hello, our names are Ansa Qamar and Sandra Carlin. We both work in the Therapies Department at Queen's Hospital Burton which is part of five hospitals at UHDB in Staffordshire, United Kingdom.
We will both be exchanging our heels for hiking boots to trek the impressive heights of 2,430m at Machu Picchu, Peru; to raise funds for the NHS therapies department for much needed equipment for both patients and staff. We leave the UK on 15.09.23 to start our journey to Peru and return from the completed 5-dayTrek challenge on the 24.09.23. Our vision is to make a difference to patient recovery and staff well-being. Our inspiration comes from the incredible dedication and service from staff and the remarkable patients we see everyday who make us a part of their recovery journey.
We are excited and nervous at the same time but its a privilege to work for the NHS and be able to make a difference towards peoples lives. Please help us by sponsoring us on this charity trek.
