Story

Thank you for visiting my Just Giving Page.

I'm running the 2022 London Marathon to raise vital funds for Saint Francis Hospice. Saint Francis assists people at any stage of their life-limiting illness not just at end of life, providing a range of specialist medical and therapeutic services aimed at helping patients to live well with their conditions and providing vital support to their families. The hospice provides it's services free of charge but can only continue to do so through donations as just 27% of its funding is derived from the government.

Saint Francis Hospice provided invaluable support and care to my Dad - Chris, who was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in October 2017 throughout his illness and my Nan - Margaret who was diagnosed with a Brain Tumor in February 2021. In addition to the support provided to my Dad and Nan the hospice also extended their services to my family and I.

My Dad passed away on the 3rd of September 2021 and my Nan on the 27th of June 2021 so I will be running the marathon in their memory.

Please help me to raise as much money as possible for this very worthwhile charity - any donation no matter how big or small will be massively appreciated!

Many thanks,

Annie
