Fundraising for Dove House Hospice
As some of you will know, in August of 2021, my Mother-in-Law, Sheila Wolkowski, lost her long and hard fought battle with cancer.
Thanks to Dove House Hospice, Sheila was able to spend her final weeks not only comfortable and cared for, but surrounded by her friends, family and even grand-dog! (who I think we all know she looked forward to seeing the most).
Whilst exceptional, the care given to Sheila by the Doctors and Nurses was not all that stood out to me, because the volunteers also played such an important part in making what was, quite frankly, one of the worst experiences of everyone’s lives, into something much more bearable.
As a family we will never forget the kindness shown by the staff and volunteers at the Hospice, in a time when our medical professionals were facing unprecedented challenges, nothing felt like too much trouble.
So with that said, this year I am lacing up two newly bought pairs of dancing shoes and win or lose will be shimmying my way to raising £500 for the Hospice.
Please help me help the Hospice by giving whatever you can using the 'Donate' button.
The more people that know about Dove House Hospice, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family.
Thank you for your generosity, not only now but with all of the fundraising that my family have done since Sheila passed, it means a lot!
