Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Sunday 20 July I shall be taking part in the Birmingham triathlon in Sutton park. This is a nostalgic venue, remembering many happy times walking dogs with Muriel and Ruth Wilkes ( Chris's Mum and aunt) who both sadly died of cancer. I shall also be spurred on thinking of my brother Phil, who after being diagnosed with leukaemia and enduring months of chemotherapy, is now recovering well after a bone marrow transplant. Many other family and friends who have been affected come to mind: Mo Smith, Helene Dumouchel, Jean Pierre Robert, Andrew Pratten, are just some. I have been training since October, sometimes under blue skies and other times in torrential downpours and hope very much on the day it will be the former.
