Story
After not going out for my 4th Friday in a row- equally as painful as the 3 hour run in the snow I've just done- I figured I was actually going to run Paris Marathon on the 7th April & it was time to get some fundraising going.
I've chosen this charity for a number of reasons:
1. Sierra Leone is the poorest country in the world
2. I've done a lot of work in the past for Save the Children, a charity with a purpose I fully support - but felt a smaller charity would appreciate these funds more.
3. My cousin, Mark Weston, has just spent a while travelling around Sierra Leone & the other 2 poorest countries in the world; and has written an extremely inspiring book, the ringtone and the drum, about it which has hit home.
I promise the following:
a) I will not ask for any more sponsorship from you all for at least 10 years.
b) I will complete the full marathon, running throughout. However horrendous it is and broken I am.
c) I will stop using running as an excuse to not come out after I've completed Paris.
Thank you in advance to anyone who does donate. It will be really appreciated from all parties involved :)
