I'm planning to work in with International Teams UK Trust mission organisation on a voluntary basis from May to October and need to gather a team of supporters to help me fund my time out there.

Primarily, I will be serving in a hospitality and administrative role, helping to run a 30 bed lodge and nature reserve called Fisherman’s Rest, situated just outside Blantyre in southern Malawi.  Fisherman’s Rest (www.fishermansrest.net) employs around 25 local people and is focused on community development and creating sustainable links between overseas volunteers and rural communities. A key part of my role will be to mentor and train future leaders in hospitality and computer skills, drawing on my years of providing top level support to executives in London and my experience in the tourism industry in Turkey.  I will be joining an existing team, which includes friends from my church. I hope to continue to inspire, encourage and support the local people I meet.

As well as hospitality and adminstration, I will also be engaged in community development, in particular mentoring leaders of a teenage girls group and hosting and supporting programmes for volunteers from the UK who will be working in local schools, churches, orphanages, clinics and prisons.
