Annie's Kilimanjaro North Face Challenge

Kilimanjaro North Face Challenge · 6 July 2019
Lewis and I founded The Lewis Moody Foundation in memory of Joss Rowley Stark in 2014, to support The Brain Tumour Charity and their efforts in bringing the horrendous statistics surrounding this dreadful illness down.
Brain Tumours remain the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40. Through the foundation all money raised is put towards the projects we choose to support through the Brain Tumour Charity including Family Days, where we bring families affected together, away from the mundane routine and worry of medical care, allowing them a chance to create special memories and connect with those that understand what they are going through, as well as helping fund vital research and awareness projects to reduce diagnosis times and halve the harm caused.
So the Challenge itself!
In July 2019, I will be taking on Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest mountain with a group of wonderful friends. This 8 day hike will see us challenged through various different terrains, to summit at 5,895m above sea level. We will be tackling the North Face Route, this is a completely new climb and we will be one of the first groups to do it, which makes this even more unique!
This group was initially formed in support of our university friend, Debbie, a mother of two young daughters, who has a stage 4, grade 4 Brain Tumour. I have seen first hand the devastation Brain Tumours cause and it is only with your generosity and support that I will have the courage to do this incredible challenge.
All money raised will go directly to The Lewis Moody Foundation.
Please help in any way you can and I will do all I can to get to the top and continue my pledge to support those in need.
Thank you,
Annie
