.Recently, my best friend, Lisa McGrath, was diagnosed with breast cancer. She has never smoked, never really drank, eaten unbelievably healthily her whole life and been fit and active. Indeed, she has none of the risk factors that are supposed to accompany cancer. The randomness of her illness is what has motivated me to shave my head. Partly, to support my wonderful friend but mostly to raise as much money as I can so this awful, indiscriminate disease can be beaten.
