Fundraising for Cats Protection
All charities have suffered during the pandemic, and animal charities more than most, so I thought that I would celebrate my 70th birthday year by walking 100km (continuous) on the Thames Path Challenge for my favourite charity. Lazy by nature & far from energetic, I am taking on an arduous task but, with the help of my much younger(!) team-mate Kevin Sutton, who has only just celebrated his 60th birthday, I WILL succeed. You have to be of a certain age & sense of humour to understand our team name-"Mrs Slocombe's Posse" ,by the way!
I know that not everyone is a cat-lover but, for many. a cat is the only companion & link with the outside world. In these cases, Cats' Protection can be a lifeline to people, also. Please give as generously as you can to make my walk worthwhile. Don't however think that a small contribution is not worth giving. Every single penny counts!
Cats' Protection is the UK’s leading feline welfare charity. Our vision is a world where every cat is treated with kindness and an understanding of its needs. Cats Protection has simple and clear objectives to help cats: Homing - Finding good homes for cats in need. Neutering -Supporting and encouraging the neutering of cats. Information - Improving people’s understanding of cats and their care. Achieving this vision is only made possible due to kind cat lovers who support our work. Visit www.cats.org.uk for more information.
