As most of you will know our fantastic dad sadly passed away in march last year, as a thank you to the people who really did a lot in prolonging his life and helping him cope with the daily struggles of this awful disease we have decided to raise as much money as we can to help fund resources that they need in the fight for finding a cure and continuing with the brilliant work that they do. Our dad got to know a few people well and seemed to really enjoy his time spent going up to the Brompton doing various studies (being a guinea pig) and his rehab sessions. He always believed that by doing these trials (as long as he was no worse off ) it could only be a good thing for the fight against this illness. He hoped that by always being avaliable for trials when and if there became a "cure" he would be at the top of their list, unfortunately we will never know but with their help and support and of course the fighting spirit of our dad he managed to fight a pretty good fight for 15 years, a lot longer then most copd sufferers and now it's our turn to do what we can in supporting these people too. Please remeber that copd is not just emphysema but other lung conditions too, so help us by donating to our wonderfull cause and for this (though im not sure you'll want to) you get to see us don our wet suits and swim in the merky waters of the Thames!!
