The Big Jump!
UPDATE - we did it! On Saturday 29th March, after two failed attempts due to bad weather, I was finally able to complete my jump - and it was definitely worth the wait!
Once up in the air and at 12,000ft, out we went for a 30 second free fall before the parachute was deployed and we made it back to the ground after about 5 minutes. With not a cloud in the sky it was truly special ❤️
As you may know, Greg was diagnosed with bowel cancer in March of this year. A whirlwind of scans, blood tests, major surgery and chemotherapy has since followed.
We are so incredibly grateful to our wonderful family, friends, work colleagues, neighbours and everyone else that has been so amazing in offering support, love and kindness throughout these past months.
I am now unashamedly asking for a little bit more from all of you lovely people!
I have decided to take part in Bowel Cancer UK’s ‘The Big Jump’, along with my wingman and brother in law, Sam Verrall. This means that on Saturday 30 October, we’ll each be taking part in a two mile high tandem skydive to raise money for this fantastic charity.
Bowel cancer is the fourth most common cancer, the second biggest cancer killer in the UK and every 15 minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with this disease, these are truly horrific statistics. By supporting this charity, we really can make a difference for those affected.
Despite having gone through so much, Greg has kept going with his humour and positive outlook. He is a true inspiration and a man I am lucky to call my husband.
Please sponsor if you can - thank you so much ❤️
