We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We are a bunch of Nutters who have decided to fight back against Cancer, by taking on various tasks over the upcoming months!
Tracy's Nutty Team was put together in August 2013. Our good friend Tracy's brother, Ken passed away from bowel cancer in June 2013, 6 months after being diagnosed. Tracy announced her intention to try and raise £10,000 for Cancer Research UK, and her brilliant bunch of nutty friends suggested a team effort, taking on a variety of things such as a sponsored weight loss, a 10 mile walk, a 10k run, a half marathon and a marathon, and climb up Ben Nevis, an international food day and so on (but not all at the same time, thank heavens!)
Not all team members will be taking part in all activities, but as Chief Nutter, Tracy will complete all of them.

This page is as much about raising awareness, as raising funds. Had Ken paid more attention to his symptoms, been more insistent on getting his worries checked, he may still be with us today.

So, let's join together, take control and fight back! Cancer's days are numbered, let's make them even shorter together!!!
