Story
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2021 which turned my life upside down. I had no family history, a good bmi, ate healthily and exercised regularly. I have learnt that cancer can affect anybody and it really affects all the family and close friends. My bestie, Fiona has been a rock over the last two years and she will be supporting me in this challenge as I haven't walked this far since being diagnosed with breast cancer.
I have been struggling with fatigue for two years due to medication and I am just starting to get my life back. I want to support macmillan as they have supported me when I was struggling mentally.
I joined, " the care group," in Newark that is run by macmillan. It is a weekly exercise group for people that either have cancer or have had treatment for cancer. It is a chance to discuss anything like treatment regimes, side effects and to just have a giggle with likeminded people. One of our friends lost her fight with cancer this week so I will be thinking of Carol when I am undertaking this challenge.
Please support Fiona and myself and this fantastic organisation that is there for everyone that is affected by cancer. I hope that you never need their services but they are a fabulous organisation if you do. Cancer sucks!
