Story
Like so many of you who are reading this post our lives have been touched by this horrible disease. For me in September 2016 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had a puckering near my left nipple, and after deliberation, my daughter said "just get it checked", so I did... Just a cyst in that breast, But the ultrasound picked up a 12mm lump in my right breast...
Please, please, please, if in doubt check it out!
It has also struck my friends Lynn, Rona and Heather, my cousin Jayne and a few other friends too.
But actually its not just us that it effected, it is our families and friends too. To share this information with our children, our husbands, our mums, our lovers or our friends is particularly difficult.
Although for most of us the cancer is a few years ago, we wake every morning with that fear. The fear that today it will have come back. Is that lump something, is that pain a sign, what about that freckle?
Please sponsor us so that we can help prevent people going through this.
Due to Covid our walk from Bakewell was postponed until this year and is now starting from Chatsworth House.
My good news since first writing this page is I have been given the 5 year all clear. Yippee! So thank you to everyone who has supported me.
