Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you know, mum was diagnosed with Myeloma in 2005. After over 7 years of fighting the disease, she passed away on 28th December 2012.
I have decided to run the Manchester 10k on 26th May 2013 in memory of my Mum and to raise money for Myeloma UK. Her 5 year old Grand-daughter, Thalia, will also be doing her bit by running the 1.5km Mini Great Manchester run on 27th May 2013.
Myeloma UK carry out fantastic work researching and testing new treatments. In fact the original prognosis for mum was less than 7 years but due to the new treatments that they were able to offer her she was able to live with with cancer for longer. With ongoing research this life expectancy for any newly diagnosed patients could improve.
