Story

In memory of Anne Williamson-  4/1/1956 - 10/6/2014

On 10/6/2014 my beautiful mum, and my dads wonderful wife grew her wings and left us to rest in a more peaceful place after an 18 month battle with oesophageal cancer.

After a very promising and strong 12 months, sadly we found out in January that the cancer had returned, but as the significant side effects of the cancer worsened, her body just grew weaker and sadly there was just nothing more that could have been done to help her.

Her whole family- dad and I, her mum, her sisters Celia and Susan, her brother John and sister in law, Lexie, were there when she passed in the Glasgow Royal Infirmary and I know that she is now at peace, and up there with her dad, John watching over us all.

My dad and I feel that she would have appreciated donations to MacMillan Cancer Support in her memory instead of giving flowers (family flowers only). Wendy, mum's nurse, was really invaluable to her, and us as a family over the past few months.

No amount too big or small, just whatever you feel to be appropriate.

Thanks everyone,

Elaine & Ian x
