Anyone who knows me knows my dad went through a troumatic time over Christmas 2017. My dad Colin became very poorly. 

We were all told my dad was not going to make the next few days due to a spinal cord injury affecting his intacostal muscles, this meant he was struggling to breath. He then worsened with sepsis (blood poisoning). My dad was in intensive care and we can’t thank the hospital staff enough for saving his life. 

We could not believe what was happening. 

Today my dad, Colin 57 years old is a survivor! He is in Newcastle rehabilitation center regaining his upper strength, my dad is paralysed from the mid torso down, I am currently living in Surrey and go to the hospital as much as I can. Me and my brother Al will be running in the Royle park a half marathon to raise money for the Spianl cord association.

Anyone who knows my dad will know he is the kindest man who would give his last £ to anyone who needs it. He is cheeky chap but would help anyone in need. We all love him to the moon and back and we are so grateful he is here today.
