Story
Hi all,
To be truely honest I am completing this particular challenge because my personal trainer Jim said:
'Hey Annie, fancy walking 100km with a few members of Team Jim?'
Of course I said yes, it's the sort of thing I say yes too. So 24th-25th of May I shall be walking from London2Brighton across the south downs. However, you'll be pleased to hear I have a rather less carefree attitude to the charity I am raising money and walking for- Help for Heroes.
As you all know I have a passion to join the army and, fingers crossed, by the time I walk this challenge I will have smashed my fitness test, eloquently discussed current affairs, planned the best plan in the planning exercise, survived a night in the mess without embarassing myself and finally know that, yes, the army will accept me for officer training.
A life in the military can throw up a huge number of challenges and I hope that I will never encounter such a challenge that I shall need the services of Help for Heroes personally but i think it would be naive of me to believe that, while leading an army life, I wont find myself coming into close contact with people who will.
I am hugely passionate about this cause and they do such a fantastic job. Please give whatever you can and if you can't just promise to send the odd text on the weekend to keep me entertained, this challenge is going to be long!
Thank you,Annie xx
