Carers Worldwide is the only organisation exclusively highlighting and tackling the issues facing unpaid family carers in developing countries, whose situation is frequently exacerbated by poverty and gender and who are without government support or a welfare state. Carers Worldwide recognises that carers' wellbeing is important in its own right and just as a way of preserving the quality of care received by the cared-for person.
