Story
Did you know that brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet brain tumour research receives just 1% of the national spend on cancer research?
That most cancer research involves outdated models of testing that use animals, sometimes even genetically modified animals, to research a human disease?
So that is why we are raising money for the Dr Hadwen Trust and their Grand Challenge across 2016. To find a way to treat brain tumours in humans rather than mice.
And to do this we will be running a half marathon in May in the Lake District. This will be Anne's first half marathon and although the views will be beautiful the running may be tough!
We will also be doing other fundraising across the year to help us reach our target.
Thanks again for visiting our JustGiving page and helping to raise money for the Dr Hadwen Trust!
