Story
Thank you to all my friends and family for visiting my page. My dad mentioned a few months ago that he joined the Cardiomyopathy Association in the UK and that I could run my next race for the cause. During my last long run I got to thinking why not run THIS race for the cause.
So, November 1, I am running the New York Marathon for my dad, who lives and fights cardiomyopathy each and every day, for my grandfather Stanley, who passed away in 1990 after a long battle with the disease, for my friend Jen's mother, who was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy last month, and for all those who are diagnosed and fighting the disease each and every day.
Please donate whatever you can – I have no goal, just want to raise any amount I can to help (remember the Cardiomyopathy Association is in the UK, so your donation is in Pounds. As of 10/16/09, 1 GBP = 1.63 USD).
Thank you so much for support, and I'm looking forward to seeing many of you out there cheering me on November 1!
Love, Anne
Donation Details
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. You can donate from anywhere in the world, as long as you have a credit/debit card.
You can only donate in pounds sterling (£ GBP), and JustGiving will charge you the equivalent amount in your local currency. Your bank/credit card company may charge extra fees for international transactions. Please contact them before donating to find out.
Unfortunately it is not possible to make tax-deductible donations
across national borders. For example, a US citizen cannot claim a tax
deduction on a donation made to a UK charity, and vice versa. You can
only enjoy tax benefits if you donate to an organisation registered as
a charity in your own country. Sorry!
