I'm walking 30 miles in September because I feel that it is something practical that I can actually do to help in a situation where you can often feel helpless to do anything. It is also very personal to me and my family. 

This challenge will help to support families facing dementia. Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. 

Sadly, the Admiral Nurse service has been withdrawn in the Wirral, due I think to our local authority funding. However Dementia UK has a help and support-line for all families nationwide
