Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I don't know whether I'm just mad or stupid but I have decided to run the London Marathon, that's 26.2 miles. Actually, Jackie talked me into it after having a couple of glasses of wine! We are running for a very good cause, Guide dogs, and we are aiming to raise £1500 each.

Just training a guide dog costs around £14,400 and the fulltime cost of a guide dog from birth to retirement is £48,500 so our £1500 doesn't seem like very much but every little helps. Even if you can donate £1

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

For anyone who is local, I am also fund raising at work. I have some black out cards, entry is £3.00 and there are two crystal light fittings to be won worth over £500. To enter call into KES Lighting 191 Newtown Road Bedworth CV12 8NW

Thanks everyone

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
