Story
Alex, Anne and Kathy are inviting you to join them to walk a mile or a hundred miles in March to raise awareness of the devastating effects of brain tumours and help fund vital research.
It has been a year of great suffering and hardship for so many people; fear, loss of loved ones, financial worries, curtailment of our freedoms in so many areas. The effects of this Pandemic will continue to blight our lives for a long time. Exercise has been a saviour and a highlight of our days for so many of us. Get your hats, cagoules, your walking boots, your protein snacks and your plasters and let's virtually walk from Lands End to John O'Groats to mark Brain Tumour Awareness month.
Brain tumours are indiscriminate; they can affect anyone at any age. What's more , they kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer... yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.
Wear A Hat Day is one of the UK's biggest and most important brain tumour research fundraising and awareness-raising days. Wearing a hat or one of our specially designed hat-themed pin badges is a sign of support for Brain Tumour Research, our mission and all those living with, or lost to, a brain tumour.
