Walk for Parkinson's & South Downs Way · 25 April 2019

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Thanks for taking the time to visit ourJustGiving page

My lovely Dad passed away in 2013 having bravely battled Parkinson's till the end.

In 2015, I was also diagnosed with Parkinson's - a double blow that none of us were expecting. Surrounded by many amazing people,  I am now determined to live as full and healthy a life as possible and to raise awareness and funds for this much misunderstood condition so that a cure and new treatments can be found.

Along with good friends,  I am taking on a number of walking challenges throughout the year,  culminating in a 100 mile trek along the South Downs way in September.

111 MILES COMPLETED 22-28 SEPTEMBER!! SOUTH DOWNS WAY COMPLETE.  Gale force winds, torrential rain did not dampen our spirits.  We are undefeated x

We would be very grateful for your support.

Challenge 1 completed Sunday 28th April Walk for Parkinson's @ Calke Abbey

Challenge 2 completed Saturday 11th May @Snowdon Sunset Walk

Challenge 3 completed Sunday 7th July Walk for Parkinsons @Dunham Massey

Challenge 4 completed Sunday 14th July Walk for Parkinson's @ Lake Vyrnwy

Challenge 5 completed Sunday 11th August training walk around the sights and sounds of Manchester

Every hour, 2 people in the UK are told they have Parkinson's. Together we can help those who need our support and find a cure
