Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I decided to go for the Manchester 10K, because I want to raise money to help support the fantastic work of Bury Cancer Support Centre in memory of my friend, Julie Chapman.

Julie was a wonderful, funny person who lost her battle with cancer last July. She raised lots of money for Bury Cancer Support Centre herself and I would like to help carry this on (along with all the others who are involved) because they rely on donations from fundraising events.

Raising money for a brilliant charity such as this is also dear to my heart because I lost my Mum, Eileen Kitson, to cancer 13 years ago too. A facility like the Bury Cancer Support Centre would have really helped her cope with her illness and I would love for it to prosper and grow.

I only have a few weeks to get into gear but am looking forward to the challenge!!! Please dig deep and help raise funds for this great cause.

Thanks - Anne x
