Story
I went to Surrey University and the Angel on top of the Cathedral was ever present. I supported my mother when she lived with the challenge of Parkinson's. (The photo on this page is of her 'abseiling' in the park before she was diagnosed.) I went with her to the Royal Surrey Hospital many times and the Angel watched over us.
To be honest I never thought I'd consider abseiling from that high point. In fact I have never thought positively about abseiling at all!
But it wouldn't be a challenge to do as a fundraiser if it wasn't a challenge!! I am looking forward to the view from the top - but not the next bit. I have read you can do 160 feet in either 5 or 30 minutes. Can't decide which fills me with dread more!!
Those with Parkinson's face their diagnosis with courage and determination - I hope I can face the abseil with some of that too.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, and helping me to raise funds to help Parkinson's UK make life with Parkinson's easier and to fund research to find a cure.
