Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Karen Aikman and I are running in the 2010 Edinburgh Marathon to raise money for Down's Syndrome Scotland.

I got involved in running this marathon more by accident than design - a long story.... run alongside us for a bit and we'll tell all!

This is your only chance to sponsor me in a marathon as I think I may regain my sanity soon!!

In October Karen and I started our training by counting lamposts - 4 was my max on my first "training session"!

We have come a long way since then with lots of hard work and commitment and two Sundays ago we ran from Linlithgow to Slateford - 20 miles along the Union Canal.

We hope to raise money to help Down's Syndrome Scotland continue their great work in enabling people to realise their potential.

We will be running with pictures of Karen's daughter, Emily, and my friend Jennifer's daughter, Esme, close to our hearts.

Please give what you can to support this worthy cause.

Come and cheer us on on Sunday 23rd May.

Thank you
