Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
As most of you are aware Kidney Research is a charity very close to our hearts. Our daughter Isabelle has turned 8 this year and has asked to do her first fundraiser for this fantastic charity. Her big sister Chloe will be joining her, as they embark on the Kidney Research bridges walk in London on the 19th July 2020.
As many of you are aware Isabelle was born with bilateral duplex kidneys and had her first emergency surgery at 2 days old. She has since had three further renal surgeries, including the removal of a kidney, but is still unable to cope off daily antibiotic treatments. Due to other health issues in the past couple of years, further decisions on the next steps for Isabelle are on hold, whilst her other consultants try to manage and improve her condition. Despite this, Isabelle is determined to complete this 7 mile walk, along with her big sister, over the bridges of London to mark ‘bridging the gap in kidney disease’.
During Isabelle’s journey we have met so many children and families who are all affected by Kidney disease. Many are not as fortunate and Kidney Research is such a vital charity that works towards improving treatments and ultimately finding a cure for kidney disease. If you are able to donate, however small, it would be really appreciated and help towards a more positive future for Isabelle and thousands of other kidney patients.
