Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.  We are both running in the BUPA Great South 16k Run in Portsmouth on Sunday 28th October to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association and we'd really appreciate your support. Last year we managed a 10k run, so we are going for greater things this time and hope that your support will follow.  To spur you on (and show our commitment to this worthwhile cause) we will personally match your donation.

We are fundraising for the Motor Neurone Disease Association because Anne's mum and aunt both died of this awful disease several years ago.  MNDA provided invaluable equipment, support and advice and we have supported MNDA ever since.

MND is a progressive disease that weakens and wastes your muscles resulting in loss of mobility, difficulties with speech swallowing and ultimately breathing. In the UK, 1,800 people are diagnosed with MND every year, there is no known cure and half die within 14 months of diagnosis.  MNDA funds research and helps people with the disease with the care and support they need.
