Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have been a supporter of Plan UK for the last 16 years, since the birth of my eldest son. I now have 3 children and am acutely aware of how privileged their lives are just by virtue of being born in the UK: we have food, shelter, clean running water, good sanitation, a right to education, a right to equality... this list is very long.  I believe that every child deserves these basic provisions. Plan International UK is working with disadvantaged communities world-wide to improve conditions for children so that they too may benefit from the basics that my lovely family just take for granted.

I have never run a marathon before and whilst I am looking forward to it (it's been on my bucket list for decades), I know that training for this is going to be hard. However it is no bad thing for your children to see you struggle at something in order to achieve your goals.

I will be running three times a week. I will post the high-lights (and the low-lights??) below as updates.
