Story

King’s College Hospital Charity strives to make a difference to patients and their loved ones at our hospitals by supporting developments that go above and beyond what the NHS provides. King's Paediatric Neurosurgery Unit helps diagnosing and treating children with brain and spine tumour amongst other conditions. We are one of the lead paediatric Neuro-oncology centres in the UK providing neurosurgical care and rehabilitation for around 100 children, teenagers and young adults every year. We're aiming to raise £3,000,000 to improve paediatric and young adults outcomes following tumour surgery by delivering innovative neurosurgery and neuro-rehabilitation causing direct impact in kid's and families' life. Our team are going above and beyond and have decided to cycle together to raise funds to support research and development of new technologies in paediatric neurosurgery. We aim to raise 1 pound for every metre cycled and we are starting our challenge by cycling together to Brighton on the 23rd of October 2021.
