Story

I am walking 13 miles (half marathon) on the 9th of September 2023 in Brixham. This is over varied terrain but mostly coastal paths and open countryside and is considered to be 'very tough'. Some may consider this to be 'easy' BUT I have several slipped discs, a slowly crumbling spine and knackered knees, so this could be a challenge for me. I'm walking in memory of my Grampy who fought for years against this cruel illness and is missed by the family greatly.

I have to raise £200 for the Alzheimers charity but I'd LOVE to be able to raise more than that to help raise money for Alzheimer's research and care. Anything that you can donate will go straight to the charity and it'll help them to do great things.

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
